The Parish Council at St. Maximus the Confessor Orthodox Church is the administrative body that assists the priest in the operation of the church's daily functions, including the budget, building and property development, event planning, and other areas. Parish Council members are elected by the annual parish meeting and approved by the Bishop of the Diocese of the South. Membership on the council is served in two-year terms, beginning in September of each year.
Meetings are held monthly, and are open to all parish members. To suggest a topic for the Parish Council to discuss, see any Parish Council member or Fr. Justin. Agenda items should be submitted a week before the meeting.
The Annual Meeting takes place the last Sunday in September of each year, when the budget for the church year is approved. Information on Parish Meetings and Parish Council issues can be found on the Church Members' Page.
